Green projects and services
- Do you know what environmental advantage you can achieve in the field of energy and water use, procurement or transportation? We offer you a SUSTAINABILITY SCAN. We analyse your practices and identify the sustainability gap. We deliver you an action plan to get started or enhance greening your practice.
- Bringing CRADLE to CRADLE into practice? For Dutch water boards we initiated and organised an inspirational workshop with Michael Braungart, one of the founders of Cradle to Cradle. Their are huge environmental opportunities for phosphate recovery and use of energy from waste water. It is our ambition to make miles with water boards, municipalities and other public and private organisations to create a sustainable society. We can conduct a scan, make policy, give a workshop or train your staff.
- Join SUSTAIN THE CHAIN! Our Supply Chain project for multinationals, their suppliers and SME's. Goal is to provide services and to expand GRI reporting amongst: suppliers to five Dutch multinationals/large companies or 50 Dutch SME’s. We want to enhance a bottom-up approach for multinationals (buyers) that seek participation, to build capacity, to raise awareness and create ownership of sustainability and risk management by suppliers and to generate credible sustainability information by suppliers.
- Building GREEN BUSINESS STRATEGY. For Magpie Polymers, a French start-up company in water purification technology (winner of New Venture 2011 and FD Young Entrepeneur 2011), we build a business strategy to help industry and government to clean water and capture and re-use scarce metals from waste water.
- GREEN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. We seeks for market opportunities to develop green businesses. For example, we participate in Slow Mill Sustainable Power, a company that develops wave energy technology. And first prize winner of iSea 2012, en event for innovative business concepts to make use of seas and oceans in a sustainable way. Other opportunities can be in the field of clean tech, renewables or water.
- Accerelating INNOVATION and GROWTH. For Syntens Innovatiecentrum, we coach and give advice to technostarters in the Rode loper voor groei / Shell LiveWIRE program.
- For food multinationals, we developed together with a partner consultant a framework for a fair and sustainable value chain.
About Elias Consulting
Elias Consulting is a young sustainability consultancy firm, founded in 2011 by Erwin Meijboom. After graduating in Environmental Science at Wageningen University (MSc) and Public Management at the Free University of Amsterdam (MA), he held several management positions in public and private sector, e.g. as
Senior Sustainability Officer at the City of Amsterdam, manager at a Water Board in Delft, research and innovation project manager (EU-funded, million+ budget), consultant at Syntens Innovation Centre, and co-owner of awardwinning green companies. He is also lecturer and has in-depth knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Governance and Environmental issues (ESG), and specialized himself in water-related issues and Performance Management and sustainable reporting.

international spirit she has worked with different teams worldwide: El Salvador, Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, Italia, UK, Germany and The Netherlands. Before joining Elias Consulting, she worked as environmental technician at NH Hotels. As consultant at Elias Consulting, she works within our Green Location Growth program on Green Key projects for hotels, resorts and other leisure accommodations.

Through working now at the GreenKey Project, I hope to promote awareness at leisure establishments. Yorgos Chalkias is an
industrial ecologist. Having worked as a sustainability analyst he has
experience with CSR reporting and GRI standards. He is currently working on his
PhD, looking at collaborative processes for decision-making and how
participating parties make sense of them, at the department of Sociology in the
University of Surrey. He is also our London-based consultant for sustainable
supply chains. He is expanding our client network in the UK and works on
projects for corporations and SMEs within our Sustain the Chain! program.
